My name is April Greer, and I’m grateful to serve as the principal of Old St. Mary’s School, a community that immediately made me feel welcome.

I grew up on the South Side of Chicago and attended Catholic schools from first through twelfth grade, which strongly shaped my love for Catholic education.

For the past 19 years, I’ve worked in independent Catholic schools across the city of Chicago, and I feel blessed to be part of a community that values faith, knowledge, love, and strong community partnerships.

My partner, Kevin Greer, and I have been married for over 40 years. We have four adult children and two Shih Tzu puppies. We enjoy spending our time together at cultural events around the city of Chicago.

My name is Andrew Ramker, and I go by Mr. Ramker or Coach Ramker to many of our students and families. I have worked here at Old St. Mary's since 2015. I've taught PE almost all of that time, in addition to serving as the Athletic Director for most of those years.  I'm excited to continue my job of providing our students with a safe environment to learn and grow both in the classroom and outside of it. I feel very fortunate to be able to share my passion for athletics with our students. I am a proud Indiana University alum and was born and raised a Hoosier just over the state line in Hammond, IN. I love all sports but really enjoy spending time on the golf course or watching the Bears and Hoosiers play. I look forward to meeting everyone soon!

My name is Ms. Duff-Russo, and this is my tenth year at Old St. Mary's, my fifth as assistant principal.  I hold a BA in Elementary Education and Spanish and an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Boston College.  In the spring of 2023, I earned my M.Ed educational leadership with a Catholic principal endorsement from DePaul University.  I began my teaching career as a part of Boston College's Urban Catholic Teacher Corps in second and third grade.  Although I loved Boston for the six years I was there, I was excited to return home to Chicago and thrilled to join such an excellent community of educators here at OSM.  Before moving into my role as assistant principal, I taught fifth grade, sixth grade ELA, and eighth grade ELA and religion here at Old St. Mary's.  I am passionate about our commitment to Catholic identity and its intersection with diversity, equity, and inclusion.  As a mom of two little ones (not Knights yet!), I have become increasingly passionate about responsible technology usage.  My role at OSM is to work alongside teachers as we look critically at our curriculum and instruction, leveraging our expertise and collaboration to form students who "lead through faith, grow in knowledge, and serve with love."  I look forward to a terrific year working in tandem with students, families, and staff as we live in this mission!

​I've been with Old St. Mary's both as consultant and now as the Finance Director. I have worked in the Archdiocese of Chicago at various churches and schools for the past 20 years. I was born and raised in Chicago, attending both Catholic Elementary and High Schools in the city. I hold a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois - Champaign.

​Hello! My name is Stephanie Hagerman. I have worked in education for over 20 years as a tutor, a 6th grade homeroom teacher, a 6th-9th grade math teacher, and most recently, a school Administrative Assistant. I also enjoy singing, and writing faith-based plays and short stories. I love serving people and serving God with any and every gift He has given me. I will strive to ensure that Old St. Mary's School is a positive, receptive, and fertile place for young minds and for all who enter these doors. Hi! My name is Marilynn Kennedy. I was a middle school science teacher at OSM from 2011 until I retired in June of 2024. As of October 2024, I have transitioned to being a part-time administrative assistant, sharing the position with Ms. Stephanie. You will see me in the mornings until 11:00am. 

Continuing to work at Old St. Mary's has been a blessing! I enjoy greeting the students as they enter the school in the morning, as well as parents and visitors. I am here to help so please reach out with any questions. 

My name is Abbey Laird and I go by Miss Laird to our students. I started at Old St. Mary's the 21-22 school year as the Enrollment Director; you'll frequently see me in the front office or roaming the school on family tours. I'm originally from Seattle and now live in Rogers Park with my cat, Clementine. I graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2021 with a dual degree in English & Creative Writing and Cinema. I love working with our students and getting to know our families, both old and new. Go Knights!

Hello! My name is Vidal, though students know me as Mr. Tapia.

I’ve proudly been a part of the Old St. Mary’s community since 2021.

I am the Director of Technology, you can usually find my office and studio on the 3rd floor! Whether you need guidance with school technology or just want to collaborate, I am always here to help.

​Born and raised in Chicago, I am a proud alumnus of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and went on to study Cinema Arts and Science at Columbia College Chicago. Creativity and the arts have always been passions of mine, and I love bringing that background into my work with students.

​Outside of my day-to-day technology role, I am deeply involved in student life at OSM. I coordinate our middle school Tech Crew leadership program and co-run the school yearbook club, empowering students to build real-world skills through creativity!
