Aimee Hwang, R.N.

Hello, my name is Aimee and I go by Nurse Aimee or Ms. Aimee to our students. I’ve been at OSM for 12 years. My background in nursing includes Medical/Surgical, PACU (Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit), Cardiac/Neuro/general Intensive Care Units, and dermatology. You will see me in the Nurse’s Office and look forward to helping the students when in need.

Beth Toth, R.N.

Hi. My name is Beth Toth and I am a School Nurse at OSM. I go by Nurse Beth. I've been an employee at OSM since 2018 but have been an OSM parent since 2007. Our two daughters have graduated from OSM and are currently in high school. My background in Nursing includes Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Palliative Care, Workers Compensation Case Management and now School Nursing. I love working with all the students at OSM and keeping our school safe and healthy.

Hi! I’m Dr. A, the new school counselor. As a psychologist I accompany individuals and organizations to help them design emotionally intelligent strategies to put well-being at the center of their home and workplace culture.
I earned my PhD from The Chicago school for Professional Psychology, MBA from Saint Xavier University, MSW from the University of Chicago, and MDiv from Catholic Theological Union.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your student(s) and partnering with the OSM community!

Nicole Calderone

Hello! My name is Mrs. Nicole Calderone and this is my 4th year at OSM. I am a proud mom of two Knights, Maizy and Lucca. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Education with a Specialization in Special Education. This will be my first year as a Student Support Teacher, providing extra supports for preschool-third grade. Aside from working in the Student Services Department, I will also be teaching Social Emotional Learning to our preschoolers. I am so excited to help our Knights achieve their academic and social/emotional goals. Every child has strengths to build upon, interests to share, and experiences to honor. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help our Knights recognize how unique and amazing they each are! “I can do things you cannot; you can do things I cannot. Together we can do great things."

Madeleine Campbell

Hello! My name is Madeleine Campbell (Miss Campbell!), my pronouns are she/her. It is my sixth year at OSM! I am excited to be back in student support with 3rd and 4th grade. I am originally from Kansas, then I attended Indiana University and now I have lived in Chicago since 2019. I completed my Masters in Education from Depaul. I can't wait for a great school year!

Catherine Hernandez

Hello! I am Ms. Hernandez, I am the student support teacher for 5th & 6th grade. This will be my second year at OSM, you can find me on the second floor, or reach me via email anytime! I was born and raised in Chicago, and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago. I graduated in 2019 with a degree in Secondary Education, and have worked with a range of age groups for 10 years, as a Chicago Park Recreational Leader, and an Undergrad Tutor. I have always loved learning and I hope students can push themselves to do their best, build confidence and see the importance of writing and mathematics in everyday life. Looking forward to the 24-25 school year!

Kelly Engel

Hello OSM Families, My name is Kelly Engel (Mrs. Engel) and I am the Director of Student Services. In my role I work with students that have IEPs, 504 plans, and/or private evaluations, in collaboration with classroom teachers and parents, to achieve academic and social/emotional goals. This is my 3rd year at OSM and my 2nd year in this role. My husband and I moved to Chicago from northern Minnesota to be closer to our children. I have 30 years of Catholic School teaching experience and am so thrilled to have found a new home at OSM. "Every child has a different learning style and pace. Sheila McCarthy

Hello! My name is Sheila McCarthy (Mrs. McCarthy), and I am an IDEA teacher providing supplemental support for students in Pre-K through fifth grade. This is my first year at OSM, and I am very excited to be a part of the OSM community. I was previously a full-time classroom teacher teaching first, third, and sixth grades and Title I. In addition to teaching, I worked for several years in the Illinois Early Intervention Program as a Developmental Therapist. I retired in 2022 after teaching full-time for twenty-five + years. Outside of school hours, I enjoy reading, walking, bike-riding, yoga, and spending time with my family and friends.

Araceli Perez

Hello! My name is Araceli Perez, and this will be my seventh year teaching and first year at OSM. I am one of the IDEA teachers that works to support our students to meet their goals inside and outside of the classroom.
I was born and raised in Chicago and later attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign where I obtained my degree in Education with a minor in Spanish. After graduating I worked as a CPS teacher. I am looking forward to a year full of growth and learning with our middle schoolers!
