Hello! My name is Edith Galvan, also known as Miss Edith. This is my first year at Old St. Mary and I am so excited to be part of the OSM community! This is my second year teaching at OSM, it is also my 10th year teaching elementary school. I have a true passion for teaching and love watching students grow, learn, and reach new milestones. Hi, my name is Kimberly LaRaviere, but my students know me as Ms. Kim. This is my second year teaching preschool at OSM!

I'm so excited to be part of the OSM family! I graduated from Chicago State University with a degree in Elementary Education, but my heart has always been with preschool aged children. I love watching them explore and learn! When I am not teaching, I love watching documentaries and singing karaoke. ​

Hello my name is Isabel Tapia I graduated from Malcolm X College with an Accociates in science with a Basic certificate in Child Development in Pre school Education as well as an Advanced certificate in child development - pre school Education. I am a teacher in the preschool Caterpillar Room with my co teacher Alejandra Braverman. I am excited to teach and create a fun, interactive, learning environment for the kiddos! 

Hello, my name is Alejandra Braverman. I go by Mrs. Braverman. I was born and raised in Bolivia (South America), after graduating from high school I moved to Tifton- Georgia were l played tennis on a full international scholarship while studying Business administration.  This is my second year at OSM as an assistant teacher in the Caterpillar Room.

Hello! I'm Yvonne Wagner, affectionately known as Miss Yvonne. I've been part of the Old St. Mary School community since 2006, and it’s been a true joy to teach preschool during these formative years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and am an active member of several professional organizations, including NAEYC, ICTM, ICTE, and IRC.

My goal is to create a warm, nurturing environment where each child can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. I'm passionate about helping young learners develop a lifelong love of learning, and I look forward to working closely with your family throughout the school year.

My name is Therese. I go by Miss Therese to my students. I am married and have two daughters who are teachers. I have worked in Early Childhood my whole career. I work in the Chameleon Room with Miss Yvonne. I worked at my former school for nineteen years, it closed due to low enrollment. I have an Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Education. 

This is my 12th year at Old St. Mary's school and my 22nd year living in the South Loop. After graduating from U of I in Champaign-Urbana, I began my career in the Chicago Public Schools. Through the generous support of the Blue Ribbon fund, I graduated last year from DePaul University with my Masters in Educational Leadership in Administration with a Principal Endorsement. I'm proud to say I can add this degree to my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. When I am not teaching, I dedicate all my time to my four children. I'm their #1 fan and love nothing more than cheering them on in all their sports. 

Hello! My name is Ms. Brittany Blamble and this is my eighth year at OSM teaching Preschool! I am so excited to return to the Firefly room this year and can't wait to be a part of your student's learning journey! This is my twelfth year teaching overall. I have previously taught both Kindergarten in addition to PreK. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education, an LBS 1 endorsement with special education approval for preschool, and a Master's in Teaching Leadership. My favorite aspect of teaching is getting to witness the excitement from my students as they experience and accomplish something new!

Hello, OSM Knights and Families! My name is Ms. Ana Peredo Silva! I'm entering my 10th year as a Kindergarten teacher in the Daisy Room at Old St. Mary's. I'm originally from Mexico City, born and raised there. I moved to Chicago in 2016 and became a U.S. citizen in June 2023! I live on the north side with my bull terrier, Prudence. I love reading, live music, watching a movie, and walking by the lake. I found my passion for teaching back at home, where I taught preschool for three years. When I moved to Chicago, I fell in love with this beautiful city and with the warm welcome I received from the whole OSM community! I have been in the Daisy Room with Mrs. Maureen Prado for nine years, and we are so happy to start another year together.
